AMEX Small Business Saturday Shop Small Registration starts right now, and registration is limited. Small Business Saturday is the day after Black Friday, where if you spend $25 on your registered AMEX card at a small business you will get a $25 credit back for each card registered. This is basically $25 in free money for every AMEX card you have. My wife and I have a total of 5 cards together, so we will get $125! The best way to take advantage of this deal is as follows:
1. Register your AMEX Small Business Saturday Shop Small website.
2. Scroll down to the AMEX Small Business Saturday Shop Small Map.
3. Search for your favorite small business/restaurant that accepts AMEX. If it shows up on the map, it will qualify.
4. Go to the small business/restaurant and make a $25 purchase or more.
How I plan to maximize on this deal:
I will find a restaurant or two that sells $25 gift cards and buy $125 worth. I found that Habit Burgers is actually a small business and sells gift cards. $125 of Habit Burgers.. yummm.
Also I called Ramen Yamadaya in Culver City and verified they sell $25 gift cards. One of my favorite foods.
I love food, especially when it is free! There are plenty of options, just do a search and see if the business qualifies. Last year I went to a nice sushi restaurant to get a $25 off a meal. I tried to split the bill with my wife, to get 2x $25 credits but unfortunately she said no because it was too embarrassing :(. This year I will plan my AMEX Small Business Saturday strategy better :).
