Friday Updates – Lufthansa 50K Offer and Staples 25 off 75

Follow me on Facebook or Twitter or subscribe via email below to never miss out on a deal!

I’m sure most people have heard that the Lufthansa 50K offer is back.  If you spend $5,000 in 3 months on the Lufthansa Miles and More credit card, you can earn 55,000 Lufthansa miles.  The best use of Lufthansa miles in my opinion is flying business class domestically on United from LAX to New York.  Another use is 85,000 and fuel surcharges for Lufthansa First Class one-way.  I didn’t apply for this credit card a couple months ago, because I think that the Barclaycard Arrival is a more flexible and practical card.  From my experience, Barclaycard is strict and sensitive to many credit inquiries and especially recent Barclaycard applications.  I’ve heard to wait at least 6 months between each Barclaycard application.  Of course everyone’s situation is different and you don’t have to adhere to my advice.

I’ve been noticing that the same AMEX offers from AMEX Twitter sync promotions are showing up in your AMEX account now.  Well they have been for a while, but I’ve just been noticing it recently.  The deal that caught my eye the most is the $25 off $75 at Staples.  I’m definitely going to make a trip to Staples to buy a $200 Visa gift card by charging $75 on AMEX and the rest on Chase Ink Bold.  I’ll use my wife’s AMEX card too, so that should be some nice free money.  I’ve also sync’d my Chase Ink Bold to Plink, which will give me extra rewards.  I’ll report back next week to see if everything worked out.

On another note: I will be a guest speaker for an entrepreneur class at Cal State Northridge tomorrow.  It’s my first speaking engagement for this website, so wish me luck!  I will be talking about points in miles in a beginners environment and talk about how I started Romsdeals, and a bit about turning a hobby into a business (I don’t like that word though).

I love if you can speak about this website, and step by step how to become a CPA ^_^

Take the required classes, study for the test and then pass the test :). I spent a good amount of time using Becker CPA.

I think it is out of topic but I just have a quick question. I already have enough credit because I just graduated with B.A. in accounting last May. I didn’t have any experience in public accounting. Do you think that I should look for a job in any small firm or any CPA firm before I study for exam? I had a goal for studying a CPA after I graduated. However, I really didn’t find any job at a small firm or a CPA firm. I feel disappointed with searching a job. That’s why I really lazy to study for a CPA test because of no experience or no jobs at any small firm or CPA firm.

After no jobs for online searching, I found MMS blog, and then your blog. The blogs provide me a lot of great information for travel with miles/points that I didn’t know.

I received the Amex Staples offer but also received an email from Staples with a $25off$35 purchase one time use only coupon for staples rewards members. I tried redeeming through Chase portal that is giving 2pt/$ but it did not take the coupon. I then open Staples.com page place my order with the coupon plus my Amex Gold, SCORE!!!! Paid $78.98 for two dining credit cards and received the Amex email for the $25.00 credit from them. So I got a $100.00 worth for only $53.98 Bon appetite everyone if you are a Staples rewards member, double deep!
