Welcome CSUN readers! Over the weekend I had the chance to speak at an entrepreneur class at Cal State Northridge College.  I talked about what Romsdeals is all about, how I started the website (1 year aniversary giveaway coming soon!), and an introduction to points and miles.  I used some good material from Chris Guillebeau’s $100 Start Up, so I wanted to thank him for that.  For all my normal readers, maybe you will find the Power Point insightful or just a interesting read.

My presentation was more catered towards the class topic rather than actually teaching people all the strategies behind collecting points and miles to travel for nearly free.  The talk I gave was a very introductory course on the whole hobby.  It is really hard to limit the topic If you would like to know more about getting started, see my Start Here guide or just simply email or ask me below.  I would love to start helping you out.

I hope that you learned something from my presentation, whether it be about starting a website/blog or getting interested in the hobby.  Hopefully I’ll hear from you soon, don’t be afraid to contact me.  Thank you for inviting me to the class to speak.  It was also good practice for me to present about a topic that I could talk about for a while.

Below a copy of the presentation in case you missed anything or want to review and ask me questions. I talked a bit outside the presentation slides.  For my normal readers, you may still find it useful.  Thank you. Click here if you can’t see it.

My wife and I want to go from Boston to Paris R/T in April 2014 and I am not exactly sure how we can mix and match these bonus miles. Maybe you can help.

Together we have 30,113 bonus miles on AAdvantage Citi Visa. I have British Airways Avios of 13,927 and my wife has 51,485 bonus miles on British Airways.

What do you think is the best way to utilize these bonus miles and on what airline?

I would do aer lingus from BoS to DUB for 25K rt per person with avios. You must call to book. I would then easyjet or cheap flight to Paris RT. Good luck!

No problem… I spend the time studying different ways to get somewhere, so you don’t. If you collect some more Avios, you can fly business class. Thanks for supporting mmy site.

It seems to only work on the computer and not a mobile browser. See if viewing on a computer works.
