Credit card offers are back on the rise again, here are the latest credit card updates.  Right now, both Chase Ink Bold and Plus cards are up to 60,000 bonus points.  These are the best credit cards in the points and miles world right now.  US Airways is also up from 30K to 40K and Lufthansa is back to 50K.  Here are the card details for each card:

Chase Ink Bold/Plus

  • 60,000 Ultimate Rewards points after you spend $5,000 in the first 3 months from account opening
  • 5X points per dollar on office supply store spend, telephone, cable and Internet services
  • 2X points on hotel spend when directly with the hotel, gas stations
  • 1:1 point transfer to United and Hyatt (best use of points), Korean Air, Southwest, Marriott, InterContinental, Priority Club, Amtrak
  • Annual fee waived first year, then $95

Barclaycard US Airways Credit Card

  • 40,000 miles after first purchase, $89 annual fee not waived first year
  • Your first checked bag free for you and up to four companions on domestic US Airways flights
  • Priority Boarding with Zone 2 on US Airways flights
  • One companion certificate for up to two guests on US Airways operated flights at $99 each, plus taxes and fees

Barclaycard Lufthansa Credit Card

  • Earn 20,000 award miles after your first purchase
  • Earn an additional 30,000 award miles when you spend $5,000 on purchases in the first 90 days
  • $79 annual fee
  • No foreign transaction fees

All these credit cards are the current best offers and I either have them or planning to apply for them.  The Chase Ink cards are must have cards, and the US Airways credit card is the highest it has been for a few months.  US Airways miles are great because you go to Asia via Europe for 110K miles.  Also at 120K miles roundtrip for first class to North Asia, it’s the best deal for first class.  The Lufthansa card is great for business class trips in the US at only 17K miles one way. These offers might not last, so you might want to consider some of them.  I will try to get another Chase Ink credit card since I have two Mastercards, wish me luck! Note: I don’t earn anything for recommend the Chase credit card, but may for the Barclaycard credit cards. Thanks!

I now have a Chase Ink Bold Visa and have held the Ink Plus MC before. I am thinking of applying for the Ink Plus Visa version. Don’t know what my chances are and how I can justify this. What do you think?

Say you would like the option to carry a balance if needed with Ink Plus. Could work.

Rom–I’ll be curious to hear how you make out with Chase after I posted my last experience. Would you mind blogging about it or posting a follow up comment here? Thanks!

I already have my Ink Bold and CSP cards from my 100K point challange, but those extra 10K points would have been nice! For some reason, if you go to the Ink cards through the Chase website they are only offering the standard 50K bonus, but Rom’s link takes you to the 60K bonus for the Ink Bold.

Going to do the Bold deal and also apply for the CSP in the hopes that it’s only the one credit pull.

I currently have a Ink Plus Mastercard. I wanted to apply for the Ink Plus Visa card to take advantage of the latest promo of 60,000 points. I decided to call up Chase to ask them if I apply and get approved for the Visa card will I receive the 60,000 bonus points. I talked with someone in customer service and a separate individual in applications. They both told me the same thing – no, I would not receive the bonus points as I already received bonus points with my initial Plus Mastercard and they said the same thing would apply even I were to be approved for a Bold card. Chase goes by your social security number in your applications. I decided to check the terms and conditions of the offer and it states the following:

“Chase cardmembers who currently have or have had a Chase credit card in any Rewards Program associated with this offer or have received a similar bonus offer, may not be eligible for a second Chase credit card in the same Rewards Program, or for any bonus offer. This one-time bonus offer is valid only for first-time cardmembers with new accounts. Previous and existing cardmembers/accounts are not eligible for this bonus offer.”

So for those who have applied for a 2nd card and received a 2nd bonus I would like to know how you got around the above? Thanks in advance for your help.

I believe from various reports is that you will get it even if they say no. I am going for it and will post the results.
