Zip Lining in Maui – Awesome Experience

I apologize for not posting much lately, but I decided to unplug for the most part during my 6 night trip to Maui.  It was definitely one of the best trips I’ve taken because we did so many awesome activities including sunset at Haleakala Crater, full Road to Hana loop, swimming with turtles, snorkeling, spearfishing, and more. One of the highlights was zip lining in Maui through the jungle.  It was definitely an awesome experience and it was not as terrifying as you think.

I recently got a Macbook Pro Retina and have been experimenting with editing video with Final Cut Pro.  I am quite new at it and didn’t put as much time into this video as I would like to, but here it is.  I filmed everything using my GoPro HERO3+: Silver Edition
and XShot XSP2 Pocket Camera Extender.

I took some great footage of snorkeling with sea turtles that I’m trying to put together.  Make sure you use your miles for some awesome travel experiences.  We rented a condo on AirBnB and it was perfect because we spent most of the time exploring rather than sitting in a hotel room.  This is why Maui is still #1 on my Top 5 travel list.

Glad you had fun Rom. I was there a few years ago and went down to the crater of Haleakala and did the road to Hana.

I’ve heard mixed reviews of driving the road to Hana. Did you find the enjoyment worth the drive?

I found doing the full loop more enjoyable than half way.

Black sand beach and pipiwai trail. Most of the small stops aren’t worth it. You’ll need time and energy for the 4mile rt hike, which might take 3 hours

Mark twain lays down a really good description of haleakala for those interested.

My advice on Hana. Skip some of the early waterfall stops and spend more time at the sights in the middle of the loop like the Venus Pool and hike.

Also, we did the full loop but the road after Haleakala Park was so narrow that I wish we went back the other way.
